Johnny Rankovic
Music producer
Johnny got into the world of music production at the age of nine as the youngest
ever attendee of a music production school in Belgrade, and in 2025 he graduated from the Music & Sound Production course at BIMM Institute (British and Irish Modern Music Institute) in London with distinction, where he continues to pursue his Master’s in Composing for screen. His first two commercial works have been played on the national radio stations. Additionally, he had the chance to work in big private music studios in Belgrade.
Johnny Rankovic
Composer
Known as the youngest author of a rock album, Johnny is an award-winning composer
and songwriter. He started writing songs at the age of 7, which is when his first song
“Nije do love” was born. In addition to having released two albums and multiple singles, he is credited, with his composing partner Mattia Barbaro, on several original short films.
Johnny Rankovic
Guitarist
Even though he is quite young, Johnny already has more than 15 years of playing
experience. Equally good acoustic and electric guitar playing, as well as great knowledge of guitar-related equipment, have helped him earn respect from even the best players in the country. He learned from a lot of highly regarded guitarists, absorbing different techniques and styles. Not only did this influence his playing style, but also the way he approaches guitar part arrangements. He is a real vintage guitar aficionado (Gibson being his favourite brand), and his growing collection also contains a couple of guitars that he designed himself.
His greatest influence is Jimmy Page. For Johnny, the guitar is not just a basic means of
composing. The guitar is his life companion.
